Lovely | Cozy | Welcoming
These three words describe the restaurant we visited last week in the Sai Yuan area.
Having said that, as the COVID-19 situation is being resolved, there are many more restaurants in this location and lots of them are on our bucket list.
The character
While the garden’s greenery contrasts with the dark brown wooden panels on the door, the comfy tables, seats, and benches facing a lovely lawn area make us sense its welcoming vibes at first glance.
The Japanese and Korean twisted cuisine here has very outstanding taste. Not to mention French oysters, poke bowls, and very yummy yet healthy Smoothie Bowls, which were also perfect.
Panny told us that the chef here is Dutch and has extensive experience working in five-star resorts, which explains the flawless flavor. Later on, when we talked to Chef Jarno, we found that he considered his customers’ preferences in addition to the main menu. Then, periodically, he will add those items to special menus. Yes, chef! This is exactly what we call ‘customer-centric.’
The name Woodstock
comes from one of the most well-known music festivals that the restaurant’s owner loved in the United States in 1969. This festival attracted more than 400,000 people despite an audience of only 50,000 being anticipated due to the country’s situation at that time and limitations in the event’s planning. It was one of the most significant events in history.
The fishbone logo was inspired by the team’s initial idea to create food with the main menu consisting of sushi and an easy-to-eat selection for all.
The ideal spot
It could be a great idea to come here on the weekend for a leisurely late lunch and then head to Nai Harn Beach, which takes 3 more minutes to drive for sunset to unwind before the upcoming week.
On the other hand, Chef Jarno said that because of the cozy atmosphere created by the big tree in front of the restaurant, mornings are the loveliest time here.
The restaurant is open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. closed on Monday
