A Lazy Stay, Action-Packed Days
“The gym and kids’ club are huge.” “There is a splash water park with a surf skate pump track and a rock-climbing wall!.. ” We’ve heard a lot about this new resort in Bang Sak, the peaceful beach in northern Khao Lak.
Avani+ Khaolak Resort, a Minor’s newest lifestyle resort
features AvaniFit as a fun and versatile new concept that we don’t just see at the resort’s fitness center but all over the place.
We did a quick check-in at the breezy and open-air lobby. For those who have Avani’s application on their smartphone can just set up a mobile key and use the phone instead of a key card to get into the room which is even easier.
One of the brand touchpoints that we can feel right from the lobby is the decor, with fresh tones of the underwater world. It makes the relaxation colorful since arriving at the resort.
After checking in, we took a short walk through the hotel’s shady common area to get to our room. We wanted to get to know the new resort very closely, this place opened its door in March with 327 rooms, which is the largest number of rooms among the brand in Thailand right now.
Nature-reserved
Here, the naturalness of the original area is fully preserved. From the big tree that gives shade in the middle of the resort to a small natural canal with tiny fish and the little chicken coop for children studying the way of life or even large trees along the path. The beach area here has large trees to provide shade during the day and is a windproof line on rainy days. The more I know that the resort’s layout has been adjusted to maintain nature, the more impressed I am.
Dining
The first outlet we found was The Pantry in the lobby, where we can have Grab & Go meals during the day.
The Elements, we stayed at the resort for a long weekend and discovered an international buffet dinner with some Indian cuisine, which was tastefully prepared; we later learned that the man behind this fantastic, amazingly wonderful meal was an Indian Chef.
In the afternoon
we escape the heat, finishing some work in a bright and calm atmosphere with some cold drinks at The Beach House. This restaurant is located right on the beachfront. Sitting in an excellent air-conditioned spot in the afternoon, looking at the glittering sunlight over the Andaman Sea, and watching the kids and surfer having fun was blissful.
We were there until almost sunset; at this point, it’s highly recommended that you move outside. Come sit and watch the sunset at the Beach Bar, a chic beachfront spot catching the sunset, as this beach is one of Thailand’s best spots for sunset lovers.
Stay in Avani style.
Our rooms this time are the Deluxe Pool Access Room and the Two-Bedroom Deluxe Pool Suite. The first room is the most loved option for children as they can jump into the beautiful fighting fish-patterned pool directly from the balcony.
The second room with two bedrooms has a garden area, a private pool and a living area with a spacious sofa. Also, a dining table that we can easily transform into our working desk.
Avani Spa
was another spot we love. At first glance, the white and light green earth tones evoke feelings of relaxation and peace. A massage room with soothing daylight. The room includes all conveniences and a shower. Following the massage, a lovely corner for sipping herbal tea was the ideal way to complete the retreat.
Action-packed
There is always something for everyone here. The Splash Water Park is the first spot that all the kids won’t miss. The fitness center is huge and is open 24/7. Other activities include Thai boxing, Ariel Yoga, rock climbing for adults and children in separate zones, tennis courts, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and a surf skate pump track.
AvaniKids
is one of the largest kids’ clubs in Khao Lak, with separate zones in a two-storey building for children of 3 age groups. There are board games and PlayStation available, including drawing activities, paper fan decoration, an outdoor zone, a water park corner, beach activities, and a surf skate pump track. All these fun activities make the kids hardly want to go home.
There’s also the Avani Ballroom, a meeting venue with a separate entrance from the hotel. This conference room can accommodate up to 600 guests and will open soon.
The trip ends in a fun-filled way for the young and young at heart. For those planning to stay here should plan on staying for at least three days and two nights to fully experience the Avani+ and AvaniFit energy on this Bangsak Beach.
