Thailand’s first Itameshi cuisine is landing in Phuket

We must admit that the restaurant’s advert featuring a woman in a black kimono on a red Vespa while holding chopsticks with funky background music leads us here.

An Italian cuisine, known as itameshi in Japanese, is a popular food trend in the west. This restaurant is the first to provide this type of cuisine in Thailand.

Semi Di Tsubu means ’seeds from grains’ and is an abbreviation for combining seeds between Italian and Japanese. We found the blend and connectivity to be beyond and over what we had anticipated.

Every dish had a hint of both Italian and Japanese cuisine in terms of ingredients, flavor, presentation, and cooking methods, which was very impressive.

We ordered 7 dishes from starter to dessert. Warm Seaweed Bread and seaweed butter were the appetizer which outside was barely crunchy, but inside was warm and soft. Pretty nice beginning.

It’s Tomato on the first menu. It was essentially a Burrata that served with fresh tomatoes. However, they barely season three different sorts of tomatoes here. Make every bite simple to eat; then you may simply forget your hidden tomato flavor phobia.

Yakitori – Leg & Umeshiso may have a straightforward appearance, but it tastes amazing because of the organic chicken meat’s well-known softness and the ideal sweet-and-sour plum sauce.

Homemade Bucatini, thick spaghetti cooked to a perfect al dente, topped with uni. Although the cream sauce has a little sour flavor, it effectively cures the grease.

We love Thai Tajima Wagyu Tartar as a main course the most.

For this Wagyu beef tartar topped with fresh truffles and an Onsen egg, the Chef suggests adding the sauce and combining it all to experience the softness and crunch of the light beef scrumble at the very end.

The smokey flavor of the highly tender Madai Fish Steak was particularly distinct and unforgettable.

Shitake Mushroom Skewer, this skewer mushrooms covered with teppanyaki sauce, appears uncomplicated, but the sauce helps to transform the basic, still-tasting mushrooms into a menu that needs a longer time of thoughtful chewing in order to fully appreciate the glaze’s ideal balance.

It looks like a little cupcake but is much more juicy when Baba Sake served with whipped cream, Italian lemon jam, and sweet sake on top. Allowed us to pleasantly finish the dinner.

Semi Di Tsubu is located on the main road along the way to Surin Beach on the right side, opposite Surin Plaza.

Open for dinner only from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
