We don’t regularly come across events featuring fine-dining Indian cuisine. So making a decision doesn’t take long; we quickly board the boat for a beautiful meal at The Naka Island, the luxury collection. 

Two chefs, one kitchen

For this special occasion at Rum Chapel restaurant, Chef Kumar Sandeep has welcomed Chef Dabbal Singh Rawat of Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa to join him for a four-hand Indian dinner that celebrates the twin pleasures of fine cuisine and friendship.

Beverage pairings are essential

The beverage pairings worked well with this meal and the chef really brings out the unique flavor and aroma of the lamb in the main course, “Farm Set,” which we love the most. The red wine pairing has a strong body and an oaky scent while still being mild and refreshing and pairs beautifully with the meat. Thanks to the sommelier who paired the wine with the meal. 

Every dish, including the Roti, was flavorful, inviting and unique, we enjoyed them all.
